A man who was wanted in connection to a shooting in Middletown earlier this week has been taken into custody in New York.
Police said 29-year-old Christopher Robert Lane allegedly discharged a gun on Westlake Drive around 4:45 p.m. Tuesday following a dispute involving occupants in a vehicle. The victim was not struck and was able to flee the area safely. According to authorities, Lane and the victim are known to each other.
Officers immediately responded and conducted a search with K9 teams, drones and regional law enforcement teams. Despite searching through the evening, police said Lane had not been found. Authorities described him as “armed and dangerous.”
On Saturday, Middletown Police Department said Lane was taken into custody in Poughkeepsie, New York.

Authorities did not release details about what charges Lane may be facing.
The investigation is ongoing.
