Mark your calendars! As Celebrate Shelton kicks off its 13th year, they are thrilled to announce one of CT’s biggest food truck experiences, Food Trucks on the River.

Food Trucks on the River returns for two days of delicious eats at Veterans Memorial Park in Shelton on Friday, May 29th from 5:00 – 10:00 PM and Saturday, May 30th from 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM. (Rain date: Sunday, May 31st)

“Each year we continue to grow, with increasing attendance and expanded programming. We listen and find new ways to connect with our community in the place we all call home,” says Celebrate Shelton founders Nicole Heriot-Mikula, Michael Skrtic, and Jimmy Tickey.

This free, family-friendly festival features 30+ food trucks each day with CT’s finest food trucks, and levels up in a big way with live music all weekend, a massive artisan market where shopping locally is the vibe, a pop-up bar featuring New Belgium craft brews, Love Lou wines, specialty cocktails and mocktails, and whether it’s a Friday night dance party or playing bingo and bringing the whole fam for 18 holes of mini golf on Saturday, Food Trucks on the River has got you covered.

Food Truck Lineup to prepare your taste buds: Greek Style Grill, Texmex Fusion Food Truck, C&V Festivals Food/ Brian’s Fabulous, Awesomesaucecf, Crispy Melty, Steak-In-It, Betzys Food Truck, Tuttimango, Tropicana Bowls, Szabo’s Seafood, JJ Stacks, King Shawarma & Falafel, Lemonade Grenade, Urban Elote, Supreme Poutine, Mima’s Kitchen, Flavors, Be Berries, Chompers, Drop And Fry, Ramen Station, BarNaan, The Mason Jar Exchange, Keith’s Ice Cream Truck, Queen Bee Cuisine, Paradise Island, Avellino Family Barbecue, The Cinnabomb Mini-Donut Factory, CT Ice Cream Tour, Dads Cannoli Truck, Brew Haus, Country Kettle Corn and Big Dipper CT.

Get ready – every truck will be offering a $5- $7 option because what’s a food truck fest if you can’t try it all?!

Live Music to Move You

Friday night’s Main Stage sponsored by Tuttle Insurance boasts a psych rock swirl of catchy  melodies and songwriting with Southern CT’s own, Daze In, followed by musical powerhouses hailing from Hartford with a sound you won’t forget, Roost and rolling in from New Hampshire, headlining the evening is original R&B/Hip-Hop band led by Grammy-nominated artist and producer Thomas (Teeba) Forbes. Their four part harmonies combined with contemporary flow will move your body and your heart.

On Saturday May 30th, visit the cozy Listening Lounge sponsored by Liberty Bank where CT’s finest singer-songwriters hit the stage all day –  Hitch & The Giddyup Trio, Charlotte Roth ft. Will Earley, Mason Peterson, Riley Cotton, Christine Bilé, and Me, Like Many.

For the fourth year, Celebrate Shelton proudly hosts the City of Shelton’s Annual LGBTQ Pride Flag Raising on Saturday, May 30th at 3:00pm.

For families and fest goers, the 18 hole mini-golf course is back by popular demand and the newest addition includes ALL day family entertainment with Big Boy Entertainment from the Main Stage with themed trivia including family-friendly Disney and America’s 250 rounds as well as classic and music bingo.

With a suggested donation of $5 per person to help support future programming, Food Trucks on the River continues to be a celebration of all things local – food, music, art, and most importantly, community.

All of this with a huge thanks to the sponsors who make it possible: Tuttle Insurance, Liberty Bank, City of Shelton, Cedar Village, RD Scinto, D’Addario, Mutual Security Credit Union, Luxy, Colony Grill, Valley Community Foundation, Prestige Builders, Excelligence, Groundworks, CT Bites, WPKN and more.
