Motorcycle driver injured after crash in Cromwell
A motorcycle driver was injured after a crash with a car on Route 372 near the I-91 on and off ramps in Cromwell, police said.
A car was exiting a gas station across the street around 6:30 p.m. Sunday and attempting to enter the I-91 on-ramp when it collided with an oncoming motorcycle, according to preliminary information from police.
The motorcycle driver was injured and transported to Hartford Hospital. The motorcycle driver remained “conscious and alert at the scene and was complaining of leg and back pain,” police said.
The driver of the car was issued an infraction in connection with the incident, according to police.
Parts of the lanes on Route 372 were closed for about an hour while emergency personnel responded and cleared the scene, police said.
