
Three people were killed in a crash on the Merritt Parkway in Stratford on Sunday morning.
According to state police, three cars were traveling in the right lane of Route 15 South around 4:50 a.m. when the third car in line, a Lexus, slammed into the back of a Honda Civic, which then collided with the Chrysler 200 ahead of it. The Civic then caught fire, state police said.
Three people in the Civic died in the crash.
The victims were identified as 29-year-old Maria Vasquez Chacon, of Trenton, New Jersey, and 21-year-old Joselyn Vasquez Chacon. The third victim was not identified.
The driver of the Chrysler was not injured.
The driver of the Lexus fled the scene, according to state police.
