Car falls into river after North Stonington crash on Thursday night
A car fell into the Shunock River in North Stonington on Thursday night, state police said.
It happened around 10 p.m. on Main Street near Wyassup Road, according to police.
The driver was safely taken out of the car and taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, the North Stonington Volunteer Fire Company said in a Facebook post.
There was only one car involved in the accident, state police said.
Police did not say what caused the crash.
