A 44-year-old man from Coventry was arrested on Saturday after it was reported that he pointed a handgun at a 9-year-old child, police said.
Coventry police were called to the area of Armstrong Road after receiving the report. When they arrived, the man was “uncooperative and argumentative with officers,” according to police.
He was eventually taken into custody, and the gun was found in his motorcycle saddlebag, police said.
The man was charged with reckless endangerment in the first degree, risk of injury to a minor, disorderly conduct, and interfering with police.
He posted a $25,000 bond and will appear in court in Rockville today.
