A 17-year-old driver has been arrested in connection with an October crash that killed a 15-year-old in Glastonbury.

The crash happened on Oct. 24 just before 9 p.m. on Hebron Avenue.

According to police, the 17-year-old was speeding and lost control of the car, crossing the center line and crashed into two oncoming vehicles.

The driver and his 15-year-old passenger suffered life-threatening injuries and were taken to the hospital.

The 15-year-old, later identified as Glastonbury High School student Dillon Dupuis, died nearly two weeks later.

Police secured an arrest warrant for the driver. He turned himself in on Monday morning.

The driver is charged with second-degree manslaughter, first-degree assault, first-degree reckless endangerment, second-degree reckless endangerment, third-degree criminal mischief, reckless driving, operating a motor vehicle to endanger occupant, violation of passenger restrictions, and failure to drive right.

He was scheduled to appear in court on Monday. His identity was not released due to his age.
