When is Sales Tax Free Week in Connecticut?
The 2026 Sales Tax Free Week runs from Sunday, Aug. 16 through Saturday, Aug. 22.
What’s included in Sales Tax Free Week?
Certain items of clothing or footwear that cost less than $300 per item are exempt from sales tax during Connecticut’s Sales Tax Free Week. This is an increase from prior years’ limit of clothing and footwear items priced under $100.
The exemption applies to each individual item that costs under $300 and is for purchases made in stores and online.
