1 hospitalized, 7 displaced after fire at Stamford apartment
Stamford Deputy Fire Chief Paul Newman says a kitchen fire in an apartment hospitalized one of the seven people displaced Friday night.
According to the deputy fire chief, responders arrived to Glenbrook Road around 9:30 p.m. and quickly contained the fire in a rear basement apartment.
“Seven occupants from two apartments were relocated by the American Red Cross. Twenty-six firefighters from four stations responded with four engines, one ladder truck, one rescue, and one deputy chief responded to the scene,” said Newman.
The Stamford Fire Marshall’s is still investigating the fire and that is all the information at this time.
