A Greenwich man is facing felony gun and drug charges after a multi-agency sting operation led to the seizure of 22 ghost guns, multiple other illegal firearms, and cocaine, officials said.
The Westchester County District Attorney’s Office said on Tuesday that the 49-year-old man from Greenwich was arrested after an investigation by the office’s Criminal Investigators Squad, the FBI’s Westchester Safe Streets Task Force, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office, and the Greenwich Police Department.
Authorities said investigators recovered 22 ghost guns, including two assault-style rifles, three serialized firearms, multiple large-capacity magazines, and 6 ounces of cocaine during the operation.
A ghost gun is an unserialized firearm that can be made with a 3D printer or assembled from partially finished gun parts, making it difficult for law enforcement to trace, officials said.
The man was charged with criminal sale of a controlled substance in the first degree, criminal sale of a firearm in the first degree, and five counts of criminal sale of a controlled substance in the third degree,
He was arraigned last week in White Plains, where his bail was set at $100,000 cash, $250,000 bond, or a $500,000 partially-secured bond.
The Westchester County District Attorney’s Office said the number of ghost guns recovered by police agencies in the county increased by 33% between 2024 and 2025.
