A winter weather advisory has been issued for northern Connecticut ahead of a chance for snow, ice, and rain across the state on Friday.

Precipitation will begin as a snow/icy mixture in the Friday morning hours.

As the day goes on, the rain/snow line will move further north as temperatures rise.
Road temperatures are expected to be on the warmer side, so treated surfaces should just be wet or a little slushy through the day.

As temperatures fall back through Friday night, rain may transition back to snow for some towns.
A few lingering snow showers are possible into Saturday morning.

There is a better chance for accumulating snow for parts of the state by Sunday night and into Monday. Stay updated with the latest forecast.
