6 people taken to hospital following multi-vehicle crash in Monroe
Six people were taken to the hospital following a multi-vehicle crash in Monroe on Monday evening.
Officers responded to a three-car crash at the intersection of Wheeler Road and Route 110 around 6:15 p.m.
Investigators said a vehicle traveling north on Wheeler Road failed to stop at the stop sign and was hit by a vehicle traveling on Route 110. A second vehicle was reportedly hit while on Route 110.
A total of three drivers and three passengers were involved in the crash, police said.
Fire officials said six people were transported to the hospital by Monroe EMS.
Traffic was detoured around the area while police documented the scene.
