12-year-old on bicycle hit by car in Milford

A 12-year-old on a bicycle was hit by a car in Milford on Sunday.

Police said the boy on the bicycle was hit from behind by a vehicle and Welches Point Road between Midwood and Long Island View is closed.

There is no estimate for the duration of the closure.

Authorities did not release any details about any injuries, but did call the crash serious in a Facebook post.

The investigation is active and ongoing.
