Woman shot while in her vehicle in Hartford: police

A woman is recovering after being shot while inside of her vehicle in Hartford, police said.

Officers were called to the 1500 block of Main Street around 2 a.m. for a ShotSpotter activation.

According to police, once they arrived, they found a woman in her 30s with a non-life threatening gunshot wound.

She was transported to the hospital for treatment.

Investigators said the woman was operating her vehicle at the time and was likely not the intended target.

The investigation is active and ongoing.
