Two dogs were found tied to a guardrail at the Interstate 84 East truck stop in Willington on Friday, and the town’s animal control says it is searching for who is responsible.
According to Willington Animal Control, the dogs were left with a 30-pound bag of food and water dies. Animal control said that while the dogs appeared to have been provided with the basic necessities, abandoning animals in this manner is “unacceptable and raises serious concerns for their welfare.”
Animal control is asking anyone who may recognize the dogs or has information about who may have left them tied to the guardrail to contact animal control.
At this time, the dogs are safe, receiving care, and in good condition, officials said.
Animal control said the dogs will be available for adoption in 7-10 days.
