Motorcyclist seriously injured after colliding with pickup truck in East Haven
A motorcycle rider was seriously injured on Sunday night after the rider collided with a pickup truck and was ejected from the bike, police said.
The motorcycle was traveling south on Hemingway Avenue through the intersection of Dodge Avenue when it collided with a pickup truck that was attempting to make a left turn onto Dodge Avenue from the northbound side of Hemingway Avenue, according to police.
The motorcycle rider was then ejected from the motorcycle, police said.
The person was treated on the scene by medics with the East Haven Fire Department and subsequently sent to Yale New Haven Hospital. The person remains in the Intensive Care Unit.
East Haven police are asking anyone who may have captured this incident, or the events leading up to it, on video to contact Detective Jon Trinh at jtrinh@easthavenpolice.com.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing, police said.
