DEEP EnCon continues to investigate fatal drowning in North Canaan
Deep Environmental Conservation Police (EnCon) are investigating a fatal drowning in North Canaan.
On Saturday afternoon, emergency crews responded to a private pond for a report of a canoe that had overturned with one person in the water.
The victim was recovered, and life-saving measures were attempted.
Despite the attempt, the adult male victim was pronounced dead.
The male was the only occupant of the canoe.
Deep EnCon are continuing to investigate the incident.
