All 48 teams at the 2026 FIFA World Cup will be chasing the tournament’s signature trophy, but it doesn’t hurt to look good while doing it.
The 2026 tournament will be the biggest World Cup on record, and it will feature 100 combined home, away and alternate kits. Some teams will be sporting classic looks, while others took some major swings for the 2026 tournament.
Thirteen brands got a chance to design at least one team’s World Cup kits for 2026, but a majority were created by either Adidas, Nike or Puma. When it comes to the best of the best, it’s Adidas and Nike at the top of the list — both in fashion and performance. The companies also alternated outfitting World Cup champions across each of the last four World Cups, with an Adidas team winning in 2014 and 2022 and a Nike team winning in 2010 and 2018.
As the soccer world prepares for the action across the U.S., Canada and Mexico, these 10 squads will be the most stylish on the pitch:
2026 FIFA World Cup
10. USMNT

After expressing their frustrations with past World Cup jerseys, U.S. men’s national team players had a hand in the design process for 2026. The “stripes” home kit is the clear winner among the two jerseys, while the “stars” on the away kit don’t pop as much on the field. Still, it is a marked improvement over the team’s looks at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
9. Croatia

Croatia continues to put a spin on its iconic checkerboard kits. The home edition is a solid addition to its red-and-white catalog, while the blue away provides some aesthetic contrast.
8. Brazil

Brazil’s “canary yellow” is a soccer staple, especially at the World Cup. While the home kit is a classic, the away jersey features something brand new, as it is Jordan Brand’s first ever World Cup kit. The black-and-navy pattern is inspired by the poison dart frogs in the Amazon.
7. Norway

As far as kits inspired by a country’s flag go, Norway has the advantage over the USMNT. Still, the real winner for Norway is its all-black away kit. The Viking theme is a sight to behold, though it remains to be seen how the players will hold up wearing it in the summer heat.
6. Spain

Spain is going for elegance with its away kit, which features a coiled vine pattern inspired by the gold-leaf illuminations on Spanish manuscripts. The 2010 World Cup champions have also thrown navy blue back into their kits in the home version to go along with subtle vertical stripes.
5. Uruguay

Uruguay kept it relatively simple with its recognizable home kit, but its away kit is anything but ordinary. The futuristic design looks like something out of “Black Panther,” but it is actually a tribute to its soccer history as the first ever World Cup champions.
4. Japan

Japan is a rising soccer nation, and its wardrobe is climbing the rankings, as well. The away kit mimics a baseball jersey and includes 12 stripes: 11 to represent the players on the field and another to pay homage to the Japanese supporters. The 2026 home kit is another solid entry among Japan’s blue jerseys, too.
3. Argentina

Like its South American rival Brazil, Argentina’s home kit is a certified World Cup classic. While it has sometimes been paired with underwhelming away kits, La Albiceleste brought the heat with its secondary jerseys for 2026. The slick black jersey is accented with blue shades inspired by Fileteado Porteño folk art style.
2. Mexico

It’s only fitting that El Tri got three World Cup kits. The North American co-host boasts a spectacular home kit that includes the Piedra del Sol and pays homage to its 1998 kits, and it doesn’t stop there. Mexico also has a clean, white away kit and a black jersey accented with red, white and green trim.
1. France

The winner of the 2018 World Cup is the winner of best kits at the 2026 World Cup.
Les Bleus’ home kit is already a 10/10 with its collar and mesmerizing zig-zag pattern, but some would argue it is still their second-best look. It is heading to the U.S. with an immaculate away kit inspired by the Statue of Liberty — a gift from France to the U.S. in the 19th century — with a minty base and copper accents worthy of a golden trophy.
