Fisherman in serious condition after water rescue in Woodstock
One man is in serious condition after being rescued from the dam between Witches Woods Lake and Lake Bungee in Woodstock on Sunday.
The Bungay Fire Brigade was dispatched to the dam between Witches Woods Lake and Lake Bungee for a reported water rescue.
A fisherman slipped and fell from the rocks near the dam, hitting his head as he entered the water according to Bungay Fire Chief David Elliott.
Witnesses reported that the individual was unresponsive while in the water.
Bystanders rescued the man from the water. Upon removal, the man was breathing but continued to remain unresponsive with serious injuries.
Due to the severity of his injuries, Life Star transported the man to the hospital.
The fisherman remains in serious condition.
