10 people displaced after overnight house fire, Ledyard
Ten people are displaced after a second alarm house fire in Ledyard overnight and are being assisted by the Red Cross according to fire department officials.
They say emergency personnel were dispatched to Gallup Hill Road around 12:38 p.m. where they found heavy smoke in the back of the home.
According to officials the fire extended to the roof and, due to the extent of the fire, Chief Mann requested a second alarm.
The fire was under control around 3 a.m. and no injuries were reported officials say.
