17-year-old boy dies after motorcycle crash in Hartford last week
A 17-year-old boy was hospitalized and later died after a motorcycle crash in Hartford last Tuesday, police said.
Hartford police were called to the intersection of Franklin Avenue at Standish Street on May 5 around 6 p.m. for a report of a serious motor vehicle vs. motorcycle crash.
When officers arrived, they found the motorcycle driver, 17-year-old Elijah Santiago, unresponsive. He was taken to the hospital in critical condition. On Saturday, he was pronounced dead, according to police.
The driver of the car remained on the scene and is cooperating with the investigation, police said.
The Hartford Police Crime Scene Division is investigating the incident.
