Man hospitalized after being hit by a car in Manchester

A man is hospitalized with life threatening injuries after being hit by a car on Wednesday night.

Police were dispatched to the area of Main Street and Ford Street around 10:11 p.m. for the incident.

According to police, a 55-year-old man was walking eastbound across Main Street in the area of the Mary Cheney Library when he was struck by a vehicle traveling northbound on Main Street.

The driver remained on scene is cooperating with the investigation.

The incident remains under investigation.
