A 14-year-old crashed a car into a utility pole in the area of Cemetery Road in Newtown on Thursday, police said.
The accident happened just before noon, when police were called to the area after a car was reported off the road, lying on its side, according to police.
When police arrived, they learned the teen was traveling west with another juvenile in the passenger seat of a white Honda on Dodgingtown Road when they drove off the roadway and into a utility pole near Cemetery Road, police said.
The car then flipped onto its side. The juveniles in the car were able to get out of the car, and both of them were transported to Danbury Hospital with minor injuries, according to police.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing, pending the issuance of enforcement to the teen, police said.
Police said they will not release any further details about this incident due to the ages of the people in the car.
