Meriden police have arrested a woman accused of sexually abusing a dog.

Authorities began an investigation on April 6.

They obtained an arrest warrant for 45-year-old Kristiina Kennedy. She turned herself in to police on Wednesday.

The dog was brought to a veterinarian and was found to not have any injuries.

Two cats were also taken from the home and Meriden is petitioning to take custody of the cats in court on Friday.

Kennedy is charged with sexual assault of an animal (creating/distributing pornography). She was released on $10,000 bond.
