Police investigating untimely death after woman found in North Stonington pond

State police said they are investigating an untimely death on Puttker Road in North Stonington on Monday morning.

A caller reported that he woke up and his wife was missing, according to preliminary information from state police.

She was later found dead in a nearby pond. Her death was untimely, police said.

The incident remains active. The Connecticut State Police Eastern District Major Crimes Squad is conducting the investigation and emergency personnel are on scene, according to police.
