Plymouth man arrested for voyeurism after hidden cameras found in bathroom, bedroom

A man was arrested on Monday after hidden cameras were found in a bathroom and bedroom of his family home in Plymouth, police said.

Investigators discovered that a 53-year-old man had two spyware cameras, one placed in a bathroom and one in a bedroom. The cameras alerted him whenever residents and guests entered those rooms, according to Plymouth police.

The cameras, disguised as a Bluetooth speaker and an air purifier, allowed the man to view, record, and photograph people. They also allowed him to pan 180 degrees when watching people, police said.

Officers seized the man’s cameras, phones, and computers and found several dozen photos and videos of people unaware they were being recorded on the devices, according to police.

The man was held on a $200,000 bond and will appear in court later on Tuesday in New Britain.
