Man dies after colliding with truck backing into a driveway in Barkhamsted: Police
A 27-year-old man died after he drove his motorcycle into a truck backing into a driveway on East Hartland Road in Barkhamsted on Sunday, state police said.
Matthew William Sherwood was driving southbound on East Hartland Road when he collided with the front end of a Kenworth truck that was backing into a driveway, according to state police.
Sherwood was transported to Winsted Medical Center, where he later died, state police said.
The driver of the truck said he was not injured and refused medical treatment, according to state police.
Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
The investigation into the crash remains active, state police said. Anyone with any information is asked to call Trooper Montano at Troop B at (860) 626-1820.
