
Police are investigating an attempted armed robbery after two victims were stabbed in Groton on Saturday.
At around 2:30 p.m., the Groton Emergency Communications Center received a call that two males had entered Accessory Warehouse in the Town of Groton and had attempted to rob the caller.
While officers were responding, the caller reported that one male suspect had a long knife and believed he had been stabbed. He also reported that the male suspects had fled on foot and left the area in a vehicle.
Upon arrival, police found two victims had been stabbed and slashed during the attempted robbery.
Both victims were evaluated for minor lacerations and stab wounds. One victim was transported to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
According to police, two black males entered Accessory Warehouse and attempted to rob the victim at knife point.
Another employee and customer intervened, causing the two suspects to flee the scene.
The Groton Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division is continuing to investigate the attempted robbery.
