Person shot on Route 8 in Derby
A person was shot on Route 8 in Derby Thursday morning, according to state police.
It happened sometime around 3 a.m.
Route 8 South was closed between Exits 13 and 12B while police investigated. The highway has since reopened.
The person sustained non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
The circumstances surrounding the shooting were not immediately available.
