And then there were four.

The 2026 men’s NCAA Tournament that originally began with 68 teams has reached the Final Four, with Michigan, Arizona, UConn and Illinois left standing.

No. 3 Illinois was the first to punch its ticket to the Final Four with a 71-59 win over No. 9 Iowa for the program’s first appearance in the semifinal round since 2005. Arizona then made a second-half comeback against No. 2 Purdue in a 79-64 win to reach the Final Four for the first time since 2001.

On Sunday, No. 1 Michigan routed No. 6 Tennessee 95-62 to advance to its first Final Four since 2018. No. 2 UConn then erased a 15-point halftime deficit and defeated top-seeded Duke 73-72 on Braylon Mullins’ deep three just before the buzzer.

Now each team will compete for a spot in the national championship game.
