Enfield police are investigating after a 12-year-old was found dead at her home.
First responders were called to the home just before 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, on the report of the unresponsive 12-year-old. When crews got to the scene, they pronounced her dead at the scene.
The Officer of the Chief Medical Examiner was called to the home, but police said the cause of death was “not immediately apparent.”
Enfield police have secured a search warrant to investigate, officials said. The investigation includes help from the Connecticut State Police Central District Major Crimes Squad.
Officials said there is no known threat to public safety or any other immediate danger.
