
One person was injured in a fire at a Hartford apartment building in the early morning hours on Monday, firefighters said.
Firefighters were called to a four-story apartment building on East Street at 2:09 a.m. for reports of a structure fire. When they arrived, they found heavy fire and got everyone out of the building safely, according to the Hartford Fire Department.
One person was transported to the hospital with minor injuries, firefighters said.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation, and firefighters said they are working with the American Red Cross to help anyone who may have been displaced from the fire.
