
Bridgeport police say a pedestrian is left in critical but stable conditions after being hit by a car Saturday night.
The accident occurred on Capitol and Parrott Avenue when a car hit a 70-year-old Bridgeport resident according to police.
When officers arrived on seen they say the pedestrian was laying in the street while the 62-year-old, New York driver stayed on scene and cooperated with police.
The Bridgeport Police Accident Reconstruction Team did further investigations and found the car was traveling eastbound on Capitol Avenue when it struck the pedestrian walking north.
The road reopened last night and has since been cleared to the normal flow of traffic.
