Tracking storms and strong winds on Monday

Sunday sees calmer winds and mostly cloudy skies as temperatures warm into the 40s.

Rain returns after midnight tonight as we track a stormy Monday.

A warm front will lift over the region tomorrow morning, providing heavy rain during the AM commute.

There should be a brief lull in rainfall during the midday hours of Monday.

By the afternoon and evening, a cold front brings a few thunderstorms and strong winds.

Rainfall totals could be between 2-3″ for many areas in southern New England once we dry out Monday night.

Winds could gust near 50 miles per hour at times on Monday. Breezy conditions are still expected through a cooler Tuesday with temperatures back in the 30s.
