
A 32-year-old man was seriously injured after he was stabbed several times while waiting at a bus stop in New Haven on Monday, police said.
Officers were called to the area of Church Street and Temple Street around 5:10 p.m. for a report of a stabbing.
The man, who lives in Pennsylvania, told police he was standing at a bus stop when another man “with whom he has had prior altercations” pulled out a kitchen knife, stabbed him several times, and fled on foot, according to police.
The man who was stabbed suffered from life-threatening injuries but is now in stable condition at Yale-New Haven Hospital, police said.
