
Trinity College men’s basketball‘s road to a second straight national title will begin in Hartford, as the Bantams will host in the opening two rounds of the NCAA Division III tournament.
Trinity (25-2) will take on Keuka College (N.Y.) in the first round on Friday, March 6 at 7 p.m., with the winner to face the winner between Babson (Mass.) and St. Joseph’s (Maine) on Saturday (7 p.m.). The Bantams earned an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament after knocking off Wesleyan, 80-55, in the NESCAC championship on Sunday.
Wesleyan (21-6) earned an at-large bid and will also host in the first two rounds. They’ll face Lehman (N.Y.) in Round 1 on Friday (6:15 p.m.), with the winner getting the winner between NYU and Gettysburg (Pa.) on Saturday (6:15 p.m.).
Western Connecticut State (21-6) also made the Big Dance after defeating Keene State, 84-68, for the Little East conference title on Sunday. They’ll face Catholic (D.C.) in the first round at Tufts University in Mass. on Friday (3:30 p.m.).
