Bridgeport officials say a man is in critical condition after a second shooting at the P.T. Barnum Housing Complex.
The 34-year-old man was shot in his car and transported to the hospital where, according to officials, he received surgery for multiple gunshot wounds and listed in critical condition.
“The department received a ShotSpotter activation of 8 rounds fired at 5:42 pm. between Buildings 10 and 11 in P.T. Barnum,” officials say. “Patrol officers located the victim’s car unoccupied and riddled with bullet holes. It was towed as evidence. The crime scene was processed by the Major Crime Unit.”
They say the person who took the victim to the hospital was interviewed and the incident is still being investigated.
This comes two weeks after another man was killed and shot outside of the complex on Aug. 9 around midnight, hours after a resident reunion.
That incident is also still being investigated.
This is all the information at this time.
