Editor’s note: Testimony in this trial may be graphic and difficult for some viewers to hear.

What to Know

  • Testimony continued Friday in the Lindsay Clancy murder trial after jurors heard from only one witness on Thursday. The defense rested its case after one witness, and rebuttal began.
  • Prosecutors say Lindsay strangled her children — Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and Callan, 8 months — on Jan. 24, 2023, in their Duxbury, Massachusetts, home after sending her then-husband Patrick out for some errands. She then jumped out of the home’s second-story window and was paralyzed from the waist down in the fall. The defense says she was in the grip of bipolar disorder and postpartum psychosis and should not be held criminally responsible.

Testimony continued Friday in the Lindsay Clancy murder trial after jurors heard from only one witness on Thursday. The defense rested its case, and prosecutors then began calling rebuttal witnesses before attorneys can make their closing arguments, likely early next week.

The first witness of the day was forensic psychiatrist Dr. Phillip Resnick. He testified remotely, and issues with the Zoom feed delayed proceedings. After the defense rested, psychiatrist Dr. Avram Mack was called as the first of what’s expected to be several prosecution rebuttal witnesses.
