Pole explosion causes road closure in Burlington
The Connecticut Department of Transportation says CT-179 is closed in both directions after a pole fire was reported around 9 p.m.
State Police say a pole explosion occurred and Eversource is on the scene assisting.
The area between Church Street and Sand Bank Hill is closed and police advise finding alternate routes.
Eversource says there are around over 400 people without power at this time.
