2 dead after crash involving dump truck on I-84 Westbound in Tolland
Two people are dead after a crash on I-84 Westbound near Exit 68 on Wednesday night.
State police said a dump truck was traveling Westbound in the right lane and a Kia was directly behind the truck.
According to state police for an unknown reason the Kia collided with the rear of the truck causing disabling damage to both the Kia and the truck.
The driver of the Kia was identified as Paige Cooke and the passenger was identified as Kristina Murphy. Both the driver and passenger were pronounced dead at the scene.
The operator of the truck suffered possible injuries and was transported to Hartford Hospital for evaluation.
