Our StormTracker meteorologists are tracking periods of heavy rain moving through the state on Wednesday and flooding is possible.
The very heavy rain will continue into the early afternoon with scattered downpours after that.
About 1″-3″ of rain is likely with higher amounts possible (5″) in western Connecticut.
Flooding is possible at small rivers and poor drainage areas. Urban street flooding is also possible.
The entire state is under a flood watch through 8 p.m.

Leftover showers will continue this evening and will be on and off on Thursday.
Sunshine returns on Friday.
