A motorcyclist has died after colliding with a vehicle on Route 66 in Marlborough on Monday night.
Emergency crews responded to a crash involving a motorcycle at the intersection of Route 66 and Saner Road around 6 p.m.
Investigators 39-year-old John Russell Forbes 4th, of East Hampton, was driving a motorcycle eastbound behind a Chevrolet Silverado. As the Chevrolet Silverado was making a left turn on Saner Road, Forbes attempted to pass on the left side and hit the truck, authorities said.
Forbes then reportedly lost control of his motorcycle and hit the ground.
He sustained life-threatening injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
