
Two people are critically injured after being ejected from a motorcycle during a crash in Torrington on Saturday night.
Emergency crews responded to a motorcycle crash on Winsted Road (State Route 800) near Sinkhole Bridge around 7:08 p.m.
First responders determined that a motorcycle traveling southbound lost control, went off the road and ejected both the driver and passenger.
One occupant, identified as a 58-year-old man from Winsted, suffered life-threatening injuries, police said. He was treated at the scene and was transported to Saint Mary’s Hospital where he is critical, but stable condition.
The second occupant, identified as a 54-year-old from Torrington, was evaluated at the scene and was transported to Hartford Hospital by LifeStar. Their condition is described as critical, but stable.
The investigation is ongoing.
