Two employees of a Windsor Locks nursing home where a 93-year-old walked out of the facility and died after being found in the snow have been arrested, according to police.
In February, Margaret Healey, who had dementia, walked out an unlocked door at the Bickford Health Care Center in freezing temperatures in the middle of the night, according to authorities.
She was found in a snowbank more than three hours later.
After Healy’s death, the state ordered the nursing home to remove the remainder of the patients from the facility. It has since closed.
Police said the two employees were arrested by warrant on Monday. They did not give details on exactly who was arrested or what charges they face. They said they would provide more details during a news conference on Tuesday.
