Man fatally stabbed in West Haven apartment, police say
A man died after being stabbed in a West Haven apartment on Sunday evening, police said.
The West Haven Police Department received a call about a possible stabbing in the 200 block of Meadowbrook Court around 5:20 p.m.
When they arrived, they immediately began lifesaving measures on the victim until emergency crews arrived. He was pronounced dead at the hospital. Police have not yet identified him.
They also learned that the suspect was still inside the apartment, according to police.
The suspect, only identified as an adult male, was arrested at the apartment, police said.
Police said the incident was isolated and preliminarily identified as “family violence.”
There is no active threat to the public. The investigation remains ongoing.
